Vermont Solar Company NST Beefs Up Leadership Team

Vermont-based solar developer Norwich Solar Technologies (NST) has named renewable energy veterans Martha Staskus as vice president of development and Jonathan Lynch as vice president of research and development.

In her previous role as vice president of VERA Renewables, Staskus was responsible for the development and permitting of over 5 MW of group net-metered solar projects in Vermont and over 150 MW of utility-scale wind projects in New England. She is also board secretary and former board chair of nonprofit organization Renewable Energy Vermont.

Lynch, NST’s first vice president of research and development, was previously chief technology officer at Northern Power Systems, a designer and supplier of wind turbines, as well as power conversion and system controls for energy storage and microgrid applications. An engineer, he also holds nine patents.

“NST is very excited about the new additions to our team,” says Jim Merriam, CEO of NST. “Martha’s extensive experience and inclusive approach strengthen our existing site permitting and expand our development capabilities. Similarly, Jonathan’s experience in developing microgrids and storage solutions allows NST to serve our customers in finding new opportunities as we rethink how a modern electric grid should operate.”
